Description
This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing complex engineering projects and bespoke product development contracts. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and delivery while ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Delivering customer liaison for sales orders and coordinating with all internal stake-holders.
• Develop a business-wide view of projects and sales orders.
• Provide bid management, estimating and quotation support.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
Project Management
• Prepare project plans including budgets, resource requirements and schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage a portfolio of projects ranging from short-term (1- 6 months) to complex long-term (6-24 months).
• Control project scope, manage requirement changes, and ensure accurate invoicing for variations.
• Maintain project expenditure and provide regular cost and resource usage reports.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
Reporting, Analysis and Risk Management
• Deliver regular project status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication.
• Conduct daily stand-up meetings to track progress and prioritize tasks.
• Monitor KPIs and escalate issues where necessary.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks proactively.
Engineering Resource Planning
• Estimate technical and resource requirements for planning and budgeting.
• Present project status data for resource allocation and prioritization.
• Monitor resource capacity and escalate risks promptly.
• Address skills gaps through training or recruitment initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
• Review and enhance project management processes, templates and tools.
• Participate in quality reviews and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the project management function.
Quotations and Bid Management
• Prepare quotations for products, services and engineering projects
• Manage product support contracts and warranties.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s Quality Management System and relevant legislation.
• Monitoring of technical output and timelines, highlighting risks to enable timely business decisions.
• Support customers and engineers with installations and technical issues, both onsite and remotely.
