Live firings of the ABL 2000L and ABL 3000L disruptors

Last week, ABP hosted a range day with the ICP Newtech team, conducting live firings of the ABL 2000L and ABL 3000L disruptors from the Avenger 2.0 platform.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for both teams to collaborate and demonstrate the integrated capability of the disruptors and the ROV. 

Live firings were successfully completed at both low-level reach and at full extension of the Avenger’s manipulator arm.

Thanks to the recoil‑free design of the ABL 2000L and ABL 3000L, the Avenger 2.0 deployed each disruptor without any adverse impact on platform stability or performance. 

The outcomes reinforced the suitability of the Avenger 2.0 for precise disruptor deployment across a wide range of operational scenarios.
